Career Day 2010

Our annual Career Day was held at Washington Street School on Thursday, April 29th. Fifth and sixth grade students were treated to a wide variety of presenters, who shared their career choices and allowed students to begin to think about their own future jobs. Presenters included Officer Matt Pecora, a member of the NYPD Scuba Unit and son of former WSS teacher, Loretta Pecora. Also on hand were Councilman Ed Ambrosino and journalist, Ken Grimball, from News 12 Long Island. Several agents from the DEA were also on hand and brought with them an agency helicopter that landed on our basketball court. What an amazing and exciting treat for all! Thank you to all of our presenters and to our PTA, especially Mrs. Lanci and Mrs. Roselli, for all that they did to make this such a wonderful learning experience for our students. Well done!
