On Thursday, April 22nd, the Washington Street School community came out to support a worthy cause. The second annual Basketball Tournament to benefit Camp Anchor was held. Five men's teams and three women's teams participated in this fierce competition. In the end, Team Blue in the women's division and Tune Squad in the men's division ended up victorious. $1003 was raised and will be donated to Camp Anchor. Thank you to Sean Boyle, Kristin Rudolph, Cheryl Scarry and Kevin Wagner for all they did to make this another successful event for Washington Street School!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Mr. Chhan and all the members of the Tune Squad team for a tremendous victory over THE Hickories..... It is quite possible that the outcome may have been different if Mr. Stella was available and if fouls were called....However. he wasn't and none were, so for the next year, the broken plastic trophy will sit in Mr. Chhan's office and remind him of a win that he described afterwards as "PRICELESS..."
