Students at Washington Street School celebrated the Super Bowl, while also helping to fight hunger. During the week, February 1st through February 5th, students donated cans of soup to Long Island Cares - The Harry Chapin Food Bank. Their donation entered them in a raffle to try to kick or throw a field goal, along with some very athletic teachers, at a special recess held on Friday, February 5th. Special thanks to Ms. Campagna, Mr. Soupios and Mr. Boyle, who helped organize the event.

I'm not sure which was more fun, watching the students contribute to a worthy cause, or watching the teachers attempt to kick a field goal!
