"Whirled Peace Day" at WSS

On Monday, September 21st, Washington Street School celebrated "Whirled Peace Day." Students, under the direction of Art Teacher, Miss Joanne Garvey, created pinwheels and made a wish for peace. The front lawn of WSS was transformed into a symbol of peace. It was a beautiful sight to see. Thank you to Miss Garvey and all the parent volunteers who helped to make this a memorable day. Enjoy this slide show of the day's events.

  2. Awesome. Another great learning and educational experience for our children. I enjoyed so much being a part of this project. Seeing the childrens faces when putting there pinwheel of peace in the ground. I am proud to be a part of this community and my children attending WSS school.
