Spreading Kindness at WSS

Throughout this past month, Washington Street School has been celebrating kindness. This week's events included a "Kickoff to Kindness" kickball game during recess, with teams being led by Ms. Mazzone and Mr. Stella. In addition students wore their favorite hat on "Hats Off to Kindness Day" and wore yellow for "Brighten Someone's Day With Kindness." The PTA also showed how kind they are by pitching in to keep Bertini Gardens beautiful! What a great school community and how lucky we are to be a part of it!

Book of the Month for November

To kick off a month of kindness at Washington Street School, "Guest Readers" visited classrooms to read November's Book of the Month, Ordinary Mary's Extraordinary Deed, by Emily Pearson. Dr. Pecorale, Mr. Manley, Mrs. Soffientini, as well as reading teachers, Mrs. Raehse and Mrs. Wicks, were but a few of the faculty who shared this beautiful story with students.
