Fun Run 2010

On Saturday, June 12th, Washington Street School held its annual Fun Run. More than 300 students participated in this event. This year, proceeds from the Fun Run were donated to The Bubba Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of those who are physically challenged. Over $1000.00 was raised for this worthy organization. Special thanks to our wonderful Assistant Principal, Mr. Stella, for putting so much of his heart and soul into organizing this special event. Building Team Kids at the Empire State Games

On Friday, June 4th, our Building Team Kids and their advisors, Mrs. Goldstein, Mrs. Krajci, Mrs. LaRegina, and Ms. Mugno, took a field trip to the Empire State Games for the physically challenged. With homemade noisemakers in hand, our representatives cheered on game participants and truly demonstrated that it is "Cool to Care." Take a moment to view a slide show of this worthwhile experience!
